Dan Magazine 12/03/2015
The new lounge at the Dan Panorama Eilat is a quiet place designed for people who want to enjoy quality time in a luxurious atmosphere.
The new lounge at the Dan Panorama Eilat aims to provide a quiet and convenient corner for guests staying in executive rooms, terrace rooms and suites that are located on the third to sixth floors. It also caters for business people who wish to spend quality time away from the hustle and heat of Eilat, who will find the lounge a perfect solution.
The lounge, located next to the main lobby, can be entered with a room key card provided at the check – in counter, enabling quick entry without having to wait. The lounge has three seating areas all with a view of the Eilat lagoon: A high bar table, dining tables and cozy seating areas. The lounge can accommodate about 30 people.
The lounge which opened on June 1, 2014, is fully equipped with computer stations, fax and print services, weekly and monthly magazines in various languages including English, French, Russian and Hebrew and of course complimentary Wi-Fi that is also available in all rooms and public areas.
At least a million shekels have been invested in the lounge that has been modernly and innovatively designed, in a new and fresh atmosphere, from the color schemes that have been environmentally matched carpets in shades of green, cream-colored wallpaper and furniture in shades of cream, black and brown. Huge blue and white lampshades, hanging from the ceiling, imbue a sense of warmth. The upgrading of the lounge has been made after the extensive renovations that the hotel underwent last year: All seating areas in the lobby were replaced, new furnishings purchased; the dining area was upgraded – all in a modern, fresh and colorful style. The hotel entrance is dominated by a breathtaking atrium which rises six floors high.
Guy Adiran, the hotel’s CEO: “In the past, when the lounge was located on the sixth floor it comprised of three rooms. Here we have defined the space and also opened a door to the adjacent kitchen, so everything is done on suite. Food is cooked and served directly to the guests.
The lounge conveys uniqueness and luxury, serves a selection of desserts, soft drinks and hot beverages, fresh juices and seasonal fruit. In the evening hot soup is served.
According to Guy Adiran, although business people are not the main market segment in Eilat hotels, the lounge provides a perfect solution for people wishing to have a business meeting or companies who want to conduct meetings in a quiet place with office and communication services. “This also provides the Israeli holiday maker with a quiet corner to: read a newspaper, listen to music, enjoy a variety of snacks and special cuisine and drink a complimentary glass of beer or wine.
Leading the Rank
According to Adiran, what distinguishes the hotel is cost versus benefit. “We definitely lead when it comes to offering reasonable prices that cater for all pockets, serving high quality food, providing a clean and aesthetically pleasing hotel and a variety of activities”. He continues, “This is the third consecutive year that the hotel’s occupancy rate stands at an annual 90%, while annual occupancy in Eilat ranges from 68% – 70%. We rank far above our competitor occupancy rates in the city”. In the age of the Internet, web user opinions are crucial . According to Adiran, the hotel receives hundreds of excellent reviews and leads the ranking of Eilat hotels.
the Expedia website
For example, BOOKING.COM rates Dan Panorama Eilat “very good” with a score of 8.3., reviews. One opinion praised the hotel’s location, which based on 538 is close to the promenade and allows free entry to the hotel’s private beach, which actually saves the need to hire a sun bed and parasol on any other beach. “And it is also important to note that this beach is quiet and very pleasant. Food served at breakfast was excellent, there was a large selection and service was courteous and quick. The swimming pool is equipped with sun beds and hammocks and music played at a reasonable volume, great to spend the day. On arrival the service at reception was courteous and we received complimentary coffee and cake which already gives a great feeling.
Bottom line is that this hotel is recommended! quoted from one of the many favorable reviews. Is there any need to add more?
The pools and surroundings also underwent a facelift with personal relaxation areas and hammocks. A 500 meter play park with a variety of inflatables for children is also located near the pool.
At the “Danyland” club
there are many facilities to engage children, providing them with a world of games, attractions and activities under the supervision of experienced staff, who do everything to ensure a great experience for children whilst allowing parents to enjoy peace of mind.
Interior design with a vista
Architect Nathan Feldman, from Carmeli and Nathan Feldman – Architects, who designed the lounge, explains the introspective of the design “our goal was to design a comfortable and relaxing lounge. This is reflected in even the smallest details: from carefully choosing the wall and ceiling colors to give a sense of comfort and calmness, through uniquely designing three seating areas at different heights to ensure a free and open view of the lagoon from every angle, to the thought of hanging large fabric lampshades from the high ceiling, creating a sense of intimacy and warmth.
The impressive buffet located in the centre of the lounge serving cold foods on one side and hot foods on the other, is detached from the floor and gives the illusion that the buffet floats in the air. The lounge floor is carpeted with a carpet designed to enhance the warm atmosphere and acoustics, the furniture is made from natural chunky oak”.
