the Famous Jazz Pianist, Mr. Armando Anthony, known as "Chick" Corea in Israel
Monday evening, "Chick" Corea, arrived with his entourage at the Dan Tel Aviv Hotel, where he stayed 5 nights. Upon his arrival, the legendary artist stated he always stays at the "Dan".
After the warm welcome, the Guest of honor was escorted to the hotel's suite, overlooking the Mediterranean, where he had many treats awaiting for him including a piano installed, as per the artist request.
The acclaimed Musician returned to Israel and to the Dan Tel Aviv, after visiting both several times.
The 74 year old legend performed four sold-out concerts together with the vocalist musician, Mr. Bobby McFerrin . Both Corea and McFerrin have performed in Israel in the past, but this was their first time they performed together in Isreal – as part of their current world tour. The concerts took place between July 22-25 at the Shuni Amphitheater near Binyamina, the Herzliya Zappa Club and the Live Park at Rishon Le Zion.
Chick Corea has been nominated for 74 Grammy awards, and won 22 of them.
