The Dan Hotels is the oldest, most prestigious hotel chain in Israel. It was founded in June 1947, when two brothers, the late Yekutiel Federmann and the late Shmuel Federmann, purchased the Kate Dan, a 21-room 'pensione' (boarding house) on the Tel Aviv seashore. Today, the Dan Chain owns and operates 13 prestigious hotels, an exclusive Apartment Hotel, a shopping center, an international Convention Center, a training school for hoteliers, and more. The Dan Hotels Corporation Ltd. has been registered on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange since 1982, with 87% of its shares owned by the Federmann family. Management: Chairman of the Board of Directors - Michael (Mickey) Federmann. Deputy Chairman of the Company - Ami Federmann. President of the Company - Ami Hirschstein.

The company owns and operates 13 hotels throughout the country, with a total of 3,300 rooms. The majority of the Dan Hotels are graded by the Ministry of Tourism as First Class hotels, the remainder as Second Class hotels. The company manages and operates 5 VIP lounges at Ben Gurion International Airport in partnership with other companies. The company also owns commercial property and apartments at 'King David Towers' in Tel Aviv and has one-third ownership in the commercial and management center of the Panorama Shopping Mall in Haifa. The company is also a partner in the catering services provided to the Israeli Defense Forces.

Dan Hotels is represented by their New York office who handle North American and Canadian Sales and Marketing. The Dan Hotels also maintains links with large agencies and tour operators in Israel and abroad. The King David and Dan Tel Aviv Hotels are the only member hotels in Israel represented by the exclusive and world renowned 'Leading Hotels of The World'. All other Dan Hotels are represented by Utell. Marketing is planned and executed by the head office in Tel Aviv. In addition, under the direction of the head office, each hotel is responsible for its individual sales. Bauman Ber Rivnai are the advertising company representing the Dan Hotels. Public relations is handled by Rahav Communications Ltd..; Sue Newman is responsible for overseas public relations and Geoffrey Weill and Associates represent the Dan Hotels in North America. Dan Hotels operates 'Call Dan' Central Reservations Center, servicing the public, tour and travel agents and corporate clients.

Each Dan Hotel is managed as a profit center measured on the basis of its professional and commercial results. The management of the chain, located at 111 Hayarkon Street in Tel Aviv has an effective supervisory network through its professional divisions, ensuring that the standards and objectives that have been set are met. It dictates to the hotels what professional standards are required, by means of clear procedures in every professional field of the chain, in order to ensure a uniformly high level of service and top quality personnel and management. This uniform standard is also achieved through professional instruction and training activities, carried out in the framework of the Dan College of Quality Leadership and Services and 'Dan Gourmet' School. The college gathers all the chain's training programs under one roof and enables every employee and every manager to acquire knowledge and skills in order to better realize his professional, leadership and personal potential.

| Dan VIP Lounges at Ben Gurion Airport |
The "Dan Lounges" are owned and managed by the Dan Hotel Chain and QAS. The VIP Lounges are located at the Ben Gurion international terminal and are open 7 day a week, 24 hours a day. In an elegant and modern setting, they offer seating for a total of 320, light refreshments and free Internet access.
